Afag Automation AG opened its doors for Switzerland's national "Future Day" on November 8, 2018.
The company invited girls and boys attending 5th through 7th grade to accompany Afag employees for a day and to participate in various workshops.
In this way, Afag wants students to experience "Fascinating Movement" at a young age and to give them an insight into technical career fields.
Nowadays, many different jobs are open to young women and men. But they still relate some fields to the other gender and pay no attention to them when choosing their careers. That leaves a lot of potential untapped. The Future Day lets boys and girls "switch sides." That allows them to find out how wide the range of possible jobs is, and it provides them with new ideas for their future – and Afag was right in the thick of it.
